August 2024 Meeting 
    
    Members present were Brad, Steve, Kiel, Dana, and Jeff.  Jeff read the meeting minutes from the previous meeting. Kiel made a motion to accept without correction, and Steve seconded it. Brad began by clarifying from the meeting minutes that the county did in fact pay for half of the actual electrical cost for the aerators that Jeff discussed in meeting minutes. Dana read the Treasurer's report and confirmed that the clerk and treasurer accounts balance.  Public comment was opened up for those in attendance, but no public comment was brought forward. Jeff confirmed that there were no permits or licenses brought forward.  Brad moved forward with the discussion on Roadwork  in the township. Brad shared that the blacktop project was not complete yet and there were some issues regarding what was done. Some of the issues at hand were that the blacktop did not go as far as the bid had agreed on. Also, the blacktop crew was witnessed being short of blacktop and backing up to scrap enough to make it look complete. Brad shared that he was in contact with the blacktop company and that they planned to bring a core drill to test the black top thickness as well as finish paving per the bid they agreed on. Brad shared the otter lake bridge received a bad inspection report and now the township was putting restrictions on the weight capacity of the bridge. Brad shared that the bridge is 60 years old, and the DOT inspection guy  hopes for funding in 2025 to repair the bridge joists that are cracking. Brad shared that the town had spent approximately 56 thousand in gravel so far, and that Dale Dubiak will have some more gravel needs coming in the township soon. Brad shared that the town hall project was completed in the last meeting. Next meeting date set for 09/03 for the September meeting. Kiel made a motion to adjourn, Steve seconded, motion carried, meeting adjourned.
