Town Meeting
July 1, 2025

Board Members Present: Brad Hompe, Kiel Morello, Nick Burzynski via phone, Dana Hartzell
7:00PM Brad called the meeting to order.
Previous Minutes read by Kiel
 Motion to accept previous minutes as read by Brad, seconded by Kiel. Motion carried

 No comments made
License and permits
 No license and permits
Discussion of clerk vacancy
 The clerk must live in the town of Colburn. Other options were discussed. Joint clerks must
have an annual audit with a high price. Jeff might change his mind if he could appoint a deputy
clerk. Kiel commented that he might be willing to take the position on and will contact Jeff to
get more info on the job.
Road work
 360 th – Locates are holding up progress. Nick stated to call number on the locate sheet and
ask about above and underground wiring.
 170 th bridge – No news, more at the August meeting.
 G bridge – Work starts this coming Tuesday.
 Patching needs – Start after mowing in the next week or two. Discussed specific spot to patch.
 Graveling – Will get going on this soon. 100 loads are approved.
Equipment needs
 Repairs done on the tractor and working well. There is a dehumidifier in the shop now.
Grader discussion
 Repair on center wheel is 16,000 dollars. Replacing it is 40,000. Trade in our grader will bring
74,000 dollars. Discussed prices, details of cab features, operational options, motor size and
horse power options. Financing is 84 months at 4.7% interest. 1 st payment is deferred by the
trade in. Warranty is 7 years comprehensive. Test drive possibilities were discussed. Kiel
stated a new truck should not be purchased instead of a grader. Nick in favor of grader also
and the bigger motor option. Decided to look at graders and the joystick models. Model

numbers being 672G and 672P. Kiel motioned to proceed with this plan, Brad second, motion
carried.
Sale of town property on 327 th
 Kiel stated he was not in favor of selling now. Nick agreed. Brad is indifferent to the idea.
Review and approve expenditures
Next meeting scheduled for August 5 th 7pm
Kiel motion to adjourn the meeting. Nick seconded, motion carried
