Meeting Minutes June 11th Meeting Minutes
Members present were Chairman Brad, Kiel, Steve, Dana, and Jeff. Jeff read the meeting minutes from the previous meeting, and Kiel made a motion to accept without correction. Steve seconded, motion was voted on and carried. Dana read the treasurer's report and confirmed that the clerk and treasurer account balance. Public comment was opened, and resident Danny Liskie shared updates on the disability friendly fishing dock that was going to be installed some time in July. He also shared the Otter Lake Benefit Chicken Dinner was to be held on July 21st at the day use park. Resident Kenny Mahalko shared his findings from the local paper about quarterly payments from the state of WI. He suggested using the money for repaving 350th. He also shared his concerns with a low spot by Zubel road and the 350th bridge. No more public comment was brought forward. Jeff shared all the liquor licenses he received for all local establishments and operators/ bartenders.Otter Lake Bait, Jim’s Shady Nook, The Curve Inn, Scheidlers Huron Tavern, and Pike Lake all submitted proper paperwork for reapplying for existing liquor and tobacco licenses. Their corresponding bartender’s also applied for new or renewed their existing licenses. Danny Liskie also applied for a “picnic” license The board reviewed all applications and Kiel made a motion to approve all licenses pending payment. Steve seconded the motion, it was voted on, and carried. No more licenses or permits.The board reviewed the topic of ARPA funds and where they money should be allocated for. The board discussed applying the funding for 165th Paving Project. Kiel made a motion to allocate the ARPA funding to the paving of 165th project, Steve seconded the motion. The motion was voted on and carried. The board moved forward to discussing roadwork projects. The board shared patching was almost complete, and that 911 addressing was still moving forward as well. Brad shared that the gravel testing subject was discussed with Haas and the chair. Brad shared that Blue Granite was proposed by Haas to remedy the solution of poor quality gravel. Haas offered blue granite to fix bad road spots this year, for last year's blue granite price. Brad also shared that Haas recommended applying blue granite to an entire gravel road to do a trial run on an entire road. The board also discussed applying blue granite to specific locations on 350th, Holub’s Road, and 160th Ave. Kiel made a motion to move forward with Haas proposal, and Steve seconded it. Motion was voted on and carried. The highway crew shared that ditch mowing was also beginning soon. Brad also shared that projects on West Otter Lake Road were being explored for future ideas as well. Dust control costs of $6,000 were discussed with the board, and the idea was tabled due to costs and the spreading of new gravel as well. Finally Brad shared the stump removal/phone pedestal removal project at the town hall. Goettl Excavating submitted a bid for $1,925.00. The board reviewed the project and costs and Kiel made a motion to accept the bid. Steve seconded, motion was voted on and carried. The next meeting date was set for July 2nd at 7pm, to align with the Board of Review. Kiel made a motion to adjourn the meeting, steve second, motion carried meeting adjourned, Comments are closed.
