Not sure what else we can do. The county has ordinances in place already as well. 5.Approval of license/permits. None presented. 6. Road work discussion & update. · Gravel lift going in next week on 360th St. · Brad summarized the plan for the paving project. Brad summarized grant details for two culverts under the small structures grant. · Waiting on groundwork for the new shed. · A discussion was had about the V plow sand blasting and painting. Brad will follow with more pricing to see if it's desirable to blast and paint. · Potholes and dips in roads were brought up and discussed. · Ditching needed on 180th. · Crack filling - county quotes were $18,000-$22,000. Jason Thompson has a similar business and was cheaper, but he doesn't offer the full needs of the work. Superior Sealers is willing to do it again but not for free. Many roads were mentioned for crack filling needs. $9,585.00 is the quote from him. The board and road crew discussed which roads to crack fill. The decision was made to do 170th ave. G to H at $1485.0 and 290st to 292nd st. and 292nd st from 290th to end at $2,700.
Brad summarized the highway work budget and details. · Maintenance and repair expenditures were high throughout the winter. · The board, public, and road crew discussed pros and cons of the blue granite and gravel use. Road crew will compile a list of roads that need gravel for board approval. Blue granite will be put down on more roads to keep testing it. Road weight permits and fees were discussed with the public. Dan Holub suggested that the town should not pave any roads and return all to gravel. Brad stated that many in the town do not agree with that, but we do need to only pave where paving makes sense as some roads near large farms will not hold up. · Questions were asked about the weight limits and routes being taken by farmers · Ditch clean up form, tire, and electronic disposals were talked about.
9. Schedule the next meeting for Tuesday June 9th. 10. Adjournment.
